ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jean Hume is an artist, educator, and a lifelong resident of Saskatchewan. She is grateful to make her home on an acreage near Hague, within Treaty Six territory.

Art and creativity have always been cornerstones in Jean’s life. She finds inspiration from the beauty of the outdoors, and especially from adventures with her husband. She has a love of painting, being creative, and learning new artistic skills all of which continually help her grow as both an artist and educator.

Jean’s work is primarily in oil and can be described as bright, expressive and bold. Alongside painting, Jean enjoys woodworking, particularly turning pens, using all sorts of natural materials and resin. As a teacher, she is dedicated to helping students discover their passions and hopes that when they leave her class, they feel inspired and empowered.
